One of the best kept secrets of Australia can be found at the border crossing of Western Australia to the Northern Territories. Why no major travel guide mentions the beautiful Keep River National Park remains a mystery to us. Besides the beautiful park, the campground is definitely worth a stay. It is really cheap ($ 3.30pp/pn), you can find a lot of firewood and top of the bill: on Fridays there is a great free ranger guided walk! We were extremely lucky that day.  Since the other campers where in such a rush to continue their travels, it was only the two of us and Ranger Christian on this amazing tour. We learned a lot about how to read the landscape and which plants can be useful in daily life.

Thanks a lot for this cool experience!
