Despite the fact that it lasts 17 days instead of 10, the Darwin Festival was nothing like our good old Ghent Festival…
It looks great at first sight, with cosy corners, art installations, and even a spiegeltent! There’s also free parking, and the weather is always amazing!
However, there’s only one free performance each day, the rest are quite expensive for someone you’ve never heard of… Also, there’s only one drink stand, and it closes at 10 PM! (That’s usually when we get started in Ghent…)
Luckily, there’s plenty of other cool bars with great live music and cocktails in Darwin, where the crowds gather after the festival closes, so we had a great time nonetheless!
