Everything is underground in Coober Pedy, except for the drive-in movie theatre. It only costs $20 per vehicle, for up to 7 people, to see a movie, which is pretty awesome! Since we both hadn’t gone to a drive-in movie yet, and Toni got us back to Coober Pedy safely, we decided to treat him to a night out!
It was great having a comfortable seat, with snacks and cold beer in the fridge close by! Being so close to Halloween, the new “Stephen King’s IT” was on, which made the experience even better! It was also pretty hilarious hearing the local indigenous people screaming “Ahhh! Run! Run!” at the screen.
At the end of the night, there’s nothing like sleeping in an un-lockable cave after seeing a horror movie 😉
